end the drug war

Our July Rally allowed thousands of motorists and pedestrians to experience a different view of the drug war. Tourists solemnly viewed the November Coalition’s “wall of shame” that documents the harsh drug sentences our courts give to fellow Americans. Others asked us questions about marijuana, the war on drugs, & prohibition. Often questions involved medical marijuana and all were very supportive. Dozens posed for picture taking, while others held signs with us for a while. Norml chapter members attended from Santa Barbara, UCSB Norml and Bakersfield Norml, along with members from The Association of Patient Advocates.

Many Hundreds of motorists honked in agreement. Others showed favorable hand gestures. The slowed traffic allows for individual contact with the motorists…..so all could clearly see their strong support. It was a good day.

Now if California could hold 50 rallies a year.................   http://ocnorml.org
